Tom Platt (email)
Mr. Platt has 20 years of progressive experience in transportation and operations management in the military, business, and as a consultant. This includes the past nine years as a transportation and fleet management consultant. He has worked extensively with large and small school districts and state and municipal fleet operations, primarily in the areas of operations management, strategic and tactical business planning, supply management and logistics, and performance measurement and benchmarking. Over his consulting career, he has made numerous presentations at industry conferences and has published articles in industry trade journals. His most recent article “What’s Going on in Transportation? Keeping the Buses Rolling” was co-authored with Mr. Forsyth in the September 2005 issue of School Business Affairs. Mr. Platt holds an undergraduate degree in transportation, and a Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) in transportation, distribution, and operations management from the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University

Andy Forsyth (email)
Mr. Forsyth over 30 years of experience in the transportation industry, with 22 years in student transportation, including 11 years as a transportation director for a school district transporting over 14,000 students. His areas of expertise are student transportation routing and scheduling, computerized routing and demographic/boundary planning, and school transportation operations management. He also has extensive experience in fleet maintenance, school bus equipment specifications, driver and student safety and training programs, and budget planning and control. A recognized expert in student transportation, he has conducted numerous presentations to industry groups, and has written extensively on fleet management and student transportation subjects, including a recent series on fleet maintenance management for School Transportation News and an article in the April 2005 issue of American School and University Magazine on performance measurement in transportation operations. Mr. Forsyth holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Philadelphia University.

Tim Ammon (email)
Tim Ammon has evaluated a wide variety of student transportation operations over a ten year career as a consultant. He has extensive experience in system implementation and use and evaluating bus routes and schedules. He has analyzed all aspects of transportation operations and has assisted in the specification and implementation of transportation software applications. Tim has frequently presented to industry conferences on a wide range of topics performance measurement, cost control, and operations management. Mr. Ammon developed a highly regarded performance benchmarking seminar series presented in conjunction with Michigan Association for Pupil Transportation. Tim is also a member of the Business Efficiency and Pupil Transportation committees for the New Jersey Association of School Business Officials. Tim holds an undergraduate degree in History and Education, and a Master of Public Administration degree (MPA) in Urban Management from American University.

Steve Abel (email)
Steve Abel has nearly 30 years of diversified experience in student transportation services and school bus fleet management with two of the largest national school bus contractors in North America. As the Director for Business Development for Laidlaw Transit, Inc. Steve directed business development and marketing services for the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic U.S. school markets. Steve co-authored an article for School Business Affairs in November 2006 based on his experience working with a client on how to successfully improve transportation operations after a difficult school start. Mr. Abel holds an undergraduate degree in Education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

Phil McConnell (email)
Phil McConnell has nearly 30 years of facilities management experience in all areas of facilities management including custodial services, maintenance operations, project and construction management, negotiations, and labor contract management. Phil has worked throughout facilities organizations as a building manager for the largest high school in Michigan, Custodial Supervisor, and as the Facilities Director. His experience includes oversight of operations and management of large-scale construction programs. Phil's education includes course work and the completion of a management training program at Cleary College in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Jamie Engish (email)
Jamie English has three years of analytical experience working with large, complex datasets for various federal government agencies. Her ability to extract and analyze data from logistic and work order management systems will enhance MPS' analytical capabilities. Ms. English earned an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, and a Master of Arts degree in Economics from American University.

Scott Henderson (email)
Scott is a graduate of the University of Maryland where he focused on studying and analyzing a wide variety of data. He has a wide range of writing and analytical skills that will facilitate MPS ability to expand its analytical offerings to our clients. Scott earned an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park.
